Usually, after booking your session the most commonly asked question is, “What should we wear?” To help you in planning for your upcoming session I thought I would share some advice on what to wear for your photo shoot. This doesn’t mean everyone has to be perfectly matching in khakis and white shirts. Instead it’s best to compliment each others outfits by choosing 2-3 colors that work well together. So remember coordinating not matching! Colors really bring things to life so choose some good colors and patterns. When choosing patterns choose a smaller print that won’t distract away from the main subject…You and your Family! Try to choose some texture that will give photos some interest such as lace, corduroy, denim. Avoid large logos, emblems and graphics that will be too distracting.
*Let your personality Shine
The purpose of family photos is to capture each individual as they truly are and to show the family and relationships as they truly are. Wear clothing that you feel comfortable and confident in.
Layering will provide more visual interest in your photos and provide for more photo variety in your shots and poses.
